Report of Parallel Sequence Scan

Abstract

It is a report about a Test of Parallel Seq Scan on PostgreSQL. We tested the performance when number of worker threads is 0, 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 12, 16, 20, 24. Then we visualize the result with perf and flame graph.

Issue And Problem

Uncertain data management has been recently studied in Large-scale scientific applications which have noisy and uncertain, and its key is to capturing uncertainty. In this paper, we focus on addressing position uncertainty lies in finding a storage and evaluation strategy that minimizes both I/O and CPU costs while returning all tuples that satisfy the query with a required probability.
